THE POWER PLEDGE - I want the people to set the rules

Britain's "unwritten constitution" has allowed those in power to set the rules and generally do as they wish.
A written constitution is about taking back power from the elite and setting down the rights and liberties we have as citizens.
The process of drawing up a written constitution would involve people from across the UK coming together to decide what kind of democracy we should have and what kind of society we want to be.
It would allow us to re-think our politics from top to bottom, set clear rules for government and protect our rights from interference by the state.
