10.01.2010 // by Fiona BensonOver the course of this weekend's Deliberative Poll, several participants will be blogging on the POWER2010 site to share their thoughts and experiences debating the future of British democracy.
Fiona Benson: What an interesting experience and privilege to be involved in. It has been a long day so these are just a few words to sum up the first day. All participants I have spoken to share a similar view. We all arrived unsure of just what to expect, excited about the opportunity to participate in an opportunity to make a positive difference in modern UK politics, in full agreement that there is a need for change and we found the experience stimulating and interesting. Prior to being involved, I must say that I had never thought about the issues in too much depth as there was never an opportunity to make a difference. It is late and looking forward to another full day on Sunday.
