09.03.2010 // by Sam WilsonOn Sunday POWER2010 arrived in the centre of historic Winchester, just around the corner from the cathedral.
Armed with pink balloons, petition sheets and a street stall we were talking to local people about their views on democratic reform and asking them to sign the POWER2010 petition in support of the 5 point pledge.
Local activist John Henderson came along to help out on the street stall and enjoyed the experience, saying "It was good to meet strangers in the street who shared my disillusion with how the government works and who want to see changes made".
In the next couple of weeks I am hoping to run similar actions in Southampton and Portsmouth so if you live in the area and would like to get involved then email me on sam@power2010.org.uk or join the Facebook group POWER2010 South East Campaign.
