15.02.2010 // by Sam WilsonOver the weekend there were several POWER2010 events in the South East as the final week of the vote begins.

The Oxford Climate Forum took place over the weekend where POWER2010 director Pam Giddy was the keynote speaker at the event on Saturday, which was followed in the afternoon by a workshop by Local Campaigns Coordinator Andy May. During the course of the day it was a great opportunity to for the attendants to hear about the campaign and cast their vote on the reforms.
On Saturday afternoon there was the first public meeting in Oxford at the East Oxford Community Centre where it was great to meet some people from local groups and put together some ideas for developing the campaign in the area.
Then on Sunday I travelled down to Brighton to run a voting street stall with local volunteer John Munford, where we had a really good response from people who stopped to talk about the campaign and cast their vote. It was also great to meet people who had already heard about the campaign and voted online.
