01.04.2010 // by Guy AitchisonIn just over 24 hours our No more Lords campaign has received a fantastic response with over 5,000 of you signing our open letter to the party leaders demanding a halt to all future appointments to the Lords and a fully elected second chamber without delay.
These are some of the fantastic messages you've sent:
"Lords. It just not cricket old boy!"
"The House of Lords must be replaced. We've been waiting over 100 years for this."
"Its time for action not just words!"
"The british public want true democracy, not tradition. The church should be seperate from the state and all lords in there should be accountable by the merit of being voted in."
"No more hand-picked Lords, please!"
"It is a disgrace that we still have an antiquated second chamber in the 21st Century. Reform needs to happen swiftly."
