Ideas: Tighten up postal voting

06.10.2009 // by Guest

This idea comes from John in London:

What's the big idea?:

Tighten up on postal voting but allow advance voting from a central location one to four days before an election is due to take place i.e. ballot boxes in a local Town Hall

Why is this change important to you?:

Postal vote fraud is far too common and easy (note Bradford, currently). The rules need to be tightend up. However, people should not feel forced to have a vote on a particular day which may be inconvenient. A number of countries allow advance voting. More people get to participate.
