01.10.2009 // by GuestThis idea comes from Walter in Biggin Hill:
What's the big idea?:
Each constituency has a spending limit but parties spending on a national basis spend what ever they can afford. The total national spending should be allocated to every constituency that has a candidate standing. That way the more that is spent nationally, the less can be spent locally. The national spending should also include any one sided media spending like the Sun newspaper backed Labour last time & is now backing Conservatives.
Why is this change important to you?:
At the present there is no restriction on what a political party can spend on a national basis & it is often the biggest spenders that win elections. It will limit companies, unions & rich individuals backing a party for their own benefit.
