29.11.2009 // by GuestThis idea comes from Sarah in London:
What's the big idea?:
Citizens 'meetings' (in a format appropriate to the community) attended by local and parliamentary representatives where people are informed about, can debate and demand representation on, relevant central and local government policy and action.
Why is this change important to you?:
To create a space where anyone can obtain the information they need and gain representtion without having to belong to a special interest civil society group or a political party. To move towards a concensus democracy where communities can debate the issues and decide what they need and want outside of ideologically driven political party stances.
