12.02.2010 // by Guy AitchisonThe business of democratic reform can get a bit serious at times so it's a good job we have artists to lighten our mood and lift our spirits.
Here, for your enjoyment, we reproduce a poem by regular commenter Tom Austin posted in our blog this morning:
Do not despair, those in their dotage
give your lamp, with vigour, frottage
awake your genius from within
all your tomorrows, today begin
with the voting pencil strike
your blow for who or what you like
should your choice be Red or Blue
this world, this time must then suit you
if this world works not your way
this election is still your only say
please do consider option four
look down the list until your sure
to you from me, who too is grey
vote for the future, come what may.
