Ideas: European Union countries agree to cross border workers

What's the big idea?:

All European Union countries should sign up to cross border workers. If our borders are open then everyone's borders should be open. If France etc can impose restrictions for 10 years then we should all be obliged to impose restrictions to make the influx of foreigners into the country more sustainable - ie the fiasco in Slough.

Also the continuing blockade of French ports by French fisherman - this blockade only affects Great Britain. Why should they be allowed to disrupt trade across the channel. They should be fined - heavily and the French government made to pay compensation for lost trade and damaged goods.

Why is this change important to you?:

The blockades of the ports seems rather one sided - it affects no other country in the EU - everyone else has access to cross all borders freely - except UK travellers.
